About Me

My love for all things health and fitness began at an early age when I started playing football for Rhode GAA at the age of four. Since then I have always been involved in playing Gaelic football for both club and county. My debut year at senior level with Rhode was in 2011 when we won the intermediate championship, the only Rhode team to ever do so. The following year I made began my senior career with a senior Championship win in 2012. I have been an ever-present on that team ever since winning 7 championships along the way. My first year on the Offaly senior panel was in 2014 and I have played 7 years since then with one year taken out to travel to Australia and another year was taken out to get my business up and running.
My interest in exercise and health led me to complete a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Exercise Science at the University of Limerick. I have always enjoyed helping people and the combination of this and my love for all things fitness led me to get my qualification as a personal trainer. I have also recently completed a postgraduate degree at Atlantic Technological University where I received my Master’s in Applied Sports and Exercise Nutrition.

The main reason I got into the area of health and fitness was born out of my passion and love for sports. I am now in the privileged position to be able to help fellow athletes achieve their dreams and goals. It has always been a dream of mine to open my own gym and the Covid-19 pandemic offered me the perfect time to follow that dream. My passion is in helping people reach their individual goals, whether they are female or male, an athlete or a complete beginner. On a day-to-day basis, I see clients walk into the gym feeling low or in a bad mood, and an hour later they leave with a smile on their faces and a weight lifted off their shoulders. The benefits of exercise and the importance of exercise for both general health and mental health are something that drives me every day so that my clients receive the best service possible.

About Me

I have always enjoyed improving my fitness due to the physical and mental benefits it gives me. In 2021 I completed a personal training and fitness instructor course. From doing so, it has given me the opportunity to work within the fitness sector. From working alongside my brother Conor, my knowledge around fitness and nutrition has grown. This learning has been facilitated through his vast wealth of knowledge in the area, along with my own studies and both of our participation in Gaelic football at both club and county level.

From the young age of 4, I’ve played football with Rhode GAA. In 2013 I made my senior debut for Rhode, and I’ve been lucky enough to win 6 senior club championships since. I hold my club very close to my heart and most of the best days of my life, have been worn in the green and gold of my club. I’ve been playing with Offaly Senior footballers for 8 years now and I’ve also been lucky enough to represent my county as u21 captain in 2016 and senior vice-captain in 2022, which has been a great privilege for me and my family. I am excited to continue training and playing with Offaly for the next coming years.

Personal Trainer

I began my coaching journey because I thoroughly enjoy seeing people become the best versions of themselves. Since I began training properly at minor level, I’ve taken a great interest into educating myself on my own training, so that I can be at an optimum level of performance. I really enjoy being able to pass on my knowledge so that the people that I come into contact within a coaching capacity, can also reap the benefits to be at their best.
